Sunrise Details

June-24

It’s been awhile since I’ve been out shooting at sunrise.

But on our recent weekend in Columbus, the weather was divine and the mornings dawned golden. And so there I was, camera in hand, enjoying the honeyed light as it burnished the city buildings with its golden fingers.

I had almost forgotten the joys of early morning shooting – that fiery transformation – there and gone in minutes, as the sun traveled its well-worn route high into the sky.

I bring you some sunrise details, spotted on that morning walk.

  1. I’ve missed your golden morning light images! These are so rich and warm. Love your wonderful description of the morning light, too!

  2. I really like the perspective in each of these, Brenda!

  3. Wonderful textures! And the light on the buildings is perfect. Nothing like early morning natural light . . .

  4. A beautiful time of day, love the pwerspective.

  5. Wonderful architectural photos. The texture adds a lot to the final images. Beautiful.

  6. These are lovely, such gorgeous light. Love your textures too. 🙂

  7. Gorgeous, I love how that first one draws you in completely.

  8. The colors and tones are glorious–they look like gleaming gold. I like how you photograph part of a building, leaving space, which you fill with the perfect texture–one that works just right with the rest of the image.

I greatly appreciate your comments!
