The 2012 Countdown: Day 6

So what do you do if you are the only remaining photographer on the planet without a smartphone and Instagram and all the myriad iphoneography apps available to the rest of the photography community?

Well, you begin with some morning winter sunshine and distorted window reflections.

You take inspiration from friends, like Kat at Kat Eye Studio and Suzette on Flickr. You add in a dash of new ACR presets from PSKiss and throw in some painting textures and actions from Rita at The Coffeeshop Blog.

You stir and tweak. You test and play and experiment. You throw that out and start again.

And somewhere along the way – your concoction comes together. Into something more than what it was when you started.

And you are grateful for this community which continually provides inspiration and resources and feeds your creativity.

Grateful for what it gives you, each day: a safe place to cook up a batch of something new.
