A Partnership

Partners

Steadfast partners. Standing together, facing whatever comes. Leaning on each other.

Grateful for the love, the companionship, the memories. For being enough.

Weathering the storms. Basking in the sunlight. Marking the seasons.

Watching the world, and each other, change. Accepting and loving the changes.

Recognizing the differences. Celebrating the idiosyncrasies. Giving space but staying close.

A partnership, a friendship, a marriage.

Nineteen years.

Written for The Creative Exchange and dedicated, with thanksgiving, to my husband.
